ArribaCycle is a collective of Latino parents from East Oakland who transform single-use plastic bags and tablecloths into beautiful accessories. Here are a few examples of their work:

ArribaCycle provides workshops and training to interested groups on upcycling/recycling plastic bags. Their ultimate goal is to reduce the amount of plastic debris in our landfills, waterways, and oceans — thereby reducing the toxicity of plastic to both marine life and humans.
